Let me start out by asking you a question…

What practices are you willing to change?

I know at first thought you’re likely thinking, “I’ll change whatever I have to!” Right?

Most of us say the same.  But the thing is when it comes down to it…

Most people are afraid or at least resistant to change.

You would be amazed how often the resistance to change is what stands between us and our goals.

It’s kind of ironic in a way, because… the fear of change is essentially being afraid of the thing you want the most.

Because to make any progress towards your goals you have to be ready for change.

And be willing to embrace the change you want to make, which will likely mean shifting habits and behaviors.

Now, this will push you into an uncomfortable place for a little bit.  But that’s a good thing.

It means you’re learning… it could be a new skill, ability, or just expanding your existing knowledge… but you’re making a change!

And you’re progressing into the comfort of mastery as you learn these necessary new skills.

Think of it this way…

There is an old adage that states: it takes 10,000 hours of practice to achieve mastery.  So, as many as 9,999 of those hours are spent uncomfortably learning or… changing.

So the first key to transitioning into what you really want is embracing the change you want to make!

I’ve been there before, and understand how hard it can be to change things.  I mean I went from improv comedy to foreign exchange risk management.  That wasn’t just a change… that was almost culture shock!
